Our 8 Step Exam Process

  1. A review of your personal and family health history and any history of eye problems
  2. Evaluation of your distance and near vision with an eye chart
  3. Preliminary testing of color and depth perception
  4. Evaluation for the presence of myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism
  5. Near vision testing to determine if you have presbyopia and need progressive lenses or multifocal lenses
  6. Cover test to evaluate your eyes' ability to work together as a team
  7. An eye pressure test and examination of the optic nerve to rule out glaucoma
  8. Examination of your eyes to rule out other eye problems, such as macular degeneration, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy
